Farhan Akhtar did a fabulous Job in the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. According to the Legend “Milkha Singh” no one else could have played the role better than Farhan Akhtar. Farhan Akhtar gave his mind and soul to look and provide the feel of real Milkha Singh. Each scene of the movie was made under the supervision of Milkha Singh Itself. Before the shooting of the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Farhan was a very thin and lean. He did an extreme workout for more than 6 months to look like Milkha Singh. Farhan Akhtar workout and diet plan was prepared by an Extraordinary team. Farhan Akhtar diet and workout was focused in such a manner that he could get a complete athletic body and while running he gets very less of injuries.
When you will see movie trailer you will come to know how much hard work has Farhan Akhtar put in for the role of Milkha Singh. Though the times have changed a lot but milkha singh asked farhan to drink more of milk and Milkha Singh reveals that his secret to fitness was milk.
Farhan Akhtar Workout Plan
Farhan Akhtar did workout in two shifts for 5 to 6 hours daily and for six days in a week. He did an extreme workout for 18 months. Farhan only focus in these 18 months was to be like Milkha Singh and therefore he dream, ate drink Milkha Singh. The two-man team consisted of Melwyn Crasto and Samir Jaura were given the responsibility to convert Farhan Akhtar to Milkha Singh.
Farhan Akhtar workout was strict and disciplined. It consists of 45 to 60 minutes of Jogging as an early exercise, 20 minutes of stretching. Farhan akhtar workout was especially designed so that he can improve his running skills and look a sportsmen ready for Olympics.
Farhan Akhtar major workout included the following exercises :
Cycling: He used to go for cycling uphill daily for an hour. The main reason to do so was to increase his endurance power.
Altitude training: Milkha Singh also did his training on high altitude and so did Farhan. In the movie also you will see that How Farhan gets trained on the uphill. The whole shooting was done on Ladakh hills where proper altitude training was given to him so that he can really feel the power within his body and legs.
Biofeedback: Farhan has never did such kind of extreme workout so to keep him safe from injuries his proper biofeedback was taken. A proper diary was maintained where a proper record of his diet and exercise with many other things was updated daily.
Farhan Akhtar Diet Plan
Farhan Akhtar workout plans were extreme and thus his body required a lot of food. He used to take a heavy diet which included all sorts of proteins and vitamins. He also used to take protein shakes to get into shape. His hard work and extreme diet and workout plan has finally come to an end as the movie is going to be released on 12th July,2013. It is one among the most awaited movie of the year 2013.
